Autumn Equinox / Sin eater short story

Today marks the first day of fall in the northern hemisphere. For the past few weeks, I've been counting down the minutes, pumpkin-spiced coffee in hand, for this day to come. I'm not sure if it comes from watching too many Halloween movies as a kid or my constant search for maximum coziness, but fall has always been my favorite season. It's no coincidence that most of my stories take place in the autumn!

New writing blog

I was going to try and make some sort of forced analogy about the new season and this new writing blog I'm starting but frankly, I kind of hate sappy stuff like that. So yeah, I'm starting a writing blog. It's been on my mind for a while but I hadn't quite pulled the trigger until now. We'll see if it lasts. Mostly, this will serve as a place to share weird bits of writing that don't make it into my books. Sometimes you just need to get things out there, ya know? I also plan to post some book reviews, maybe a few chats with fellow authors, and short stories from my Sin Eater world that I don't feel comfortable asking people money for.

Sin eater short story

I can't help myself — I'm a sucker for holiday specials. So in the spirit of autumn, I'll be writing a short story set in the sin eater world during the fall. If you feel like joining Asher Norwood as he dons his cloak and starts a dark quest, I'll be posting the story to this blog closer to Halloween, when we're all in need of a good spooky story.

If you've landed here and my writing interests you, please say hi! Although I don't post on twitter much, I'm always excited to chat.
